Gadgets Give You Preview of Cool Shades
Trying to pick the right pair of shades? The new N3L Optics sports sunglass store at Mall at Millenia offers more than just a mirror to check out how they look.
The store, which opened late last month, features several high-tech gadgets for shoppers. They can use a touch-screen called Newton's Immersive Display to get information on sunglasses, finding a pair by sport, environment or brand.
The Smart Mirror gives product information on particular pairs of sunglasses once customers try them on. Shoppers can also take a photo of their new sunglasses with the Smart Mirror and e-mail it.
They can also use the Explorer Chamber, an environmental simulator that enables them to test sunglasses under varying light conditions and simulated wind speeds of up to 35 mph.
And at these prices, sunglass shoppers will want to make sure they're buying just the right pair. Prices range from $75 to $450.
